The European Platform for International Cohesion (EPIC) is an NGO that was established in Italy in early 2020 to build on the experience of its members coming from various social and educational backgrounds to promote the values of European integration in all its social and economic facets. The core of the association is to promote awareness and ownership of the fundamental concepts of cohesion that stand behind the European Union. EPIC was founded by its members as a grassroot movement to counter the wave of the anti-European sentiment that started afflicting the dream of a United Europe to promote with small but concrete actions the values of European cohesion. The spirit behind EPIC is one of "togetherness" and unity in a particular moment of social distress of the European dream. The purpose of EPIC is hence to promote and instil European values of integration and cohesion. EPIC organises events of awareness among civil society and groups of citizens to provide concrete and valuable examples of the may positive opportunities of the European Union to inspire the population at large and share the values of European integration. The purpose of those activities is to promote engagement among various cohorts of target groups, ranging from youth to seniors.

Husavik Academic Center (HAC) is a network based regional institution which serves the north-eastern part of Iceland. It is dedicated to promote and facilitate lifelong learning, university studies and interdisciplinary researches. The centre has its main base in the town of Husavik, in the municipality of Nordurthing. The adult educational part of the organization is diverse and dynamic. Courses are often adjusted to the demands and needs of the inhabitants and the labor market in the area so HAC staff has great experience in servicing inhabitants, public and private sector with quality education, short and long courses that fit their demands. At the researching department of HAC the experience is as diverse as well. The department has several different projects for municipalities and companies related to researching but also special projects such as project management around conferences, workshops or other activities.

IHF, Institut de Haute Formation aux Politiques Communautaires asbl, is a non profit organisation established in Brussels (Belgium) in 2003. IHF took part as associate partner in previous EU funded projects, contributing mainly to Disseminaton and exploitation activities. IHF provides further assistance through continuous monitoring of EU legislation and European Institution activities, and consequent spread of related information, assistance in the search for partners and building up of networks. Nýheimar the building was built in 2002 and operated as an informal co-operational forum among institutions until spring 2013 when the Nýheimar Knowledge Centre was formalized. The Knowledge Centre was established as an umbrella organization for various institutions and agencies working in education, research, innovation, and culture. Twelve different institutions are members of the of the collaboration that the knowledge centre is established around and they all have extensive interdisciplinary knowledge and experience. Nýheimars Knowledge Centers central role is to facilitate cooperation between the various sectors within and as a part of the Municipality of Hornafjordur. Another vital objective is to promote closer cooperation of individuals, businesses, organizations, and public entities with a special emphasis on the integration of culture, education, innovation, and research in Hornafjörður municipality. Nýheimars main focus is to enhance cooperation within the society as a whole in the municipality as well as reaching out to rural areas with similar challenges or interests. With that in mind the knowledge centre participates in a variety of domestic and international collaborative projects, including Erasmus + projects. That is therefore safe to say that the knowledge centres fundamental goal is to improve the quality of life of people in rural areas.
